With today’s vast array of modern, technical bicycles its is quite difficult to break down pricing for all the different service and repair tasks that could potentially be carried out on your bicycle.

Often I’ll need to have the bike briefly so I can asses the scope of work before carrying out any work and will notify you beforehand where possible, or at least give you a general idea of pricing.

All my work is plus the cost of parts if I source and supply. I am happy to fit parts supplied to me by the customer and am always happy to advise.

Some specialist bikes, ebikes, and Cargo bikes carry extra charge/s
All servicing and repairs costs below are Labour only

QUICK INSPECTION SERVICE – £35
A comprehensive M Check service to ensure your bike is ready to ride.
Gears and brakes checked and adjusted.
Full bolts and fittings check.
Tyres inflated, transmission lubricated and test ridden.
Recommends and quotation for further work

BASIC SERVICE/TUNE-UP – £50
Headset, bottom bracket and cranks checked.
Gears and brakes tuned and adjusted as necessary.
Wheels checked for true, hubs checked for play.
Nuts and bolts checked, chain lightly oiled, tyres inflated and bike test ridden..
Good for: Bikes that need a quick tune up (perhaps before an event). Little and often…

GENERAL SERVICE – £80
POPULAR SERVICE
Hubs are checked for lateral play and bearing condition adjusted. freehub is inspected. Wheels are trued, if required.
Headset is checked for play and adjusted if required.
Bottom bracket is checked for play and adjusted if required.
Gears are adjusted and indexed, cabling and parts replaced if required in this service.
Brakes are balanced and tightened, cabling and pads are replaced if required.
All bolts and fittings are checked
Tyres are inflated, transmission is lubricated and the bike is cleaned and degreased and test ridden.
Recommended every 5-6 months

COMMUTER SERVICE / DEGREASE SERVICE – £105
Semi strip down of a bike with the degreasing of transmission parts.
Transmission and brakes are removed and cleaned and degreased inn an ultrasonic cleaner.
Parts are then reassembled and lubricated
Bottom bracket is removed and the frame threads are cleaned and greased.
A general service is then carried out (as above)
Recommended before and after the winter if riding regularly

TRANSMISSION DEGREASE SERVICE – £50
Transmission parts are removed and cleaned and degreased in
in an ultrasonic cleaner. Parts are then reassembled and lubricated

Priced at £10 per repair/parts fit for small easy tasks/parts
Will make detailed cost estimate on repairs and parts fitting once I know scope of work required

• * PLEASE NOTE: Bikes that are deemed not worth it must be collected. I do not take bikes to the tip and I don’t have the space to store worn out bikes. If I do have them left after agreeing to work and not collecting or being non communicative, the bike could be moved on after a few months. I hold the right to deal with these bikes as I please if bikes are left with me for an extensive period of time beyond the first few months, unless arranged with me prior to any work being carried out.
